    Invisible Dog Fences

    Invisible fences are used to keep dogs safely confined to one area inside the yard. An electrical wire is buried in the ground, marking the space or distance of the owner's choosing. A transmitter is then attached to a collar that is worn around the dog's neck. This collar can transmit a mild electrical shock to the animal when it nears the edges of the fence.  There are typically two areas outlined, one area a few feet away from the invisible fence, and the other a few inches from the invisible fence.     Getting Started

    If you are seriously considering installing an invisible dog fence on your property for control of your pets, you should know that you can have success with your product, if you choose a type of invisible pet fence that matches your dog's personality.  A dog with stubborn tendencies or that is otherwise hard to train will need an appropriate and safe level of correctional voltage delivered through its shock collar while other dogs that are more timid will only need lower levels of a shock from the invisible fence to be effective.
